Whose Line is it Anyway? (often known simply as Whose Line?) is an improvisational comedy show hosted by Drew Carey (Aisha Tyler in the ninth season). It ran from August 5, 1998 to September 4, 2004 on ABC, with repeats and a few new episodes airing on ABC Family from 2005 to 2011.
The series is a spin-off of the British show of the same name. The three regular performers are Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady, and Colin Mochrie, who also appeared on the original UK show. They are joined by a recurring cast member or a special guest as the fourth performer.
Despite the original run being out of production since 2007, the series achieved a cult following among Internet viewers. The CW revived the show for a ten-episode ninth season on July 16, 2013, hosted by Aisha Tyler. On July 29, 2013, after only three new Whose Line episodes had aired, the network renewed the series for a 24-episode tenth season.[1]
